How to Get More Shelves in Tiny Bookshop

I love exploring the beautiful locations in Tiny Bookshop. As I sold both fiction and non-fiction books across different destinations, I noticed that all my books often sold out quickly. This made me realize how important it was to expand my bookshelf, not just to create extra space, but also to offer a more diverse range of genres to my customers.

Getting more shelves in Tiny Bookshop was actually very easy. All I had to do was complete Tilde’s quest to get an extra shelf from her. If you are early in your journey, you can get the bonus space too and display more titles right away. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

TL; DR: Complete Tilde’s quest to get your first small storage box. Meet her at the Waterfront Square and Cafe Liberte. Complete two of her requests – pick old items from the cafe and deliver them to her at the flea market on a Saturday. Visit the weekly flea market again next Saturday and purchase the storage box for 75 coins from her shop. You can also buy an additional shelf from the seasonal sales section in the newspaper when winter arrives in Bookstonbury. Make sure you equip shelves to your bookshop through the customize menu before stocking up more books.

Tilde’s Quest

You start off with a bookshelf that can hold a maximum of 40 books. Pay attention to only Tilde’s quest if you want to unlock a new shelf as fast as possible. Ignore all other quests:

Day 1: Your first day selling books at the Waterfront Square. Tilde introduces herself, praises your efforts to sell used books at a fair price to customers, and even offers her help. She used to run the local bookstore at seaside town of Bookstonbury.

Day 2: Same location. You meet Tilde again. She invites you to a very successful cafe in the town center, unlocking a new location named Cafe Liberte.

During the conversation, you can choose to accept or decline her invitation, but the new location will be unlocked either way. You will also unlock a new challenge – “Meet Tilde at the Cafe”.

Tilde will give you a journal. Use it to know more about challenges and track their progress. Open the journal, click on the Stamps bookmark, click on Cafe Liberte to find all challenges:

Day 3: With the help of the map, go to Cafe Liberte. The travel cost for this location will be 12 coins. As soon you as visit this lovely spot, you will complete the challenge and collect a stamp.

Tilde will thank you for meeting her at the cafe and ask for your help – she has been cleaning out her old shop for months, selling the small pieces at the flea market.

Your next mission is to pick up all five of her moving boxes outside the cafe. It’s a request from Tilde and NOT a new challenge. You can track this request from the characters tab in your journal. Click on the tab and then click on Tilde’s photo to find this request under “Memories”.

Day 4: Visit Cafe Liberte again. Side scroll to the extreme left-hand side of the screen. You will find a few boxes and items near the yellow outdoor umbrella. Click on all items to collect them.

Click to pick all items

As soon as you collect them, a new request will pop up on the screen. Deliver all items to Tilde at the Flea Market on Saturday. Accept this request. Complete your day selling books.

Open your journal and click on the calendar tab. Saturday is the sixth day on the calendar. The Flea Market opens every Saturday, and its location will be shown on the map on that day. You can also check when the market opens under “Events” section of your journal.

Day 6: Visit the Flea Market. Wait for Tilde to visit your bookshop. As soon as she enters your shop, she thanks you for delivering all the boxes.

Bring all items to the flea market

Tilde has set up a little stand over the old cannon. She invites you to come by to her little stand to have a look at what was in those boxes.

Next Saturday: Wait for the next weekly flea market. Before visiting the market, you will meet Tilde again at the Cafe Liberte. She will ask you to browse some items for sale at her little stand when you visit the flea market next Saturday.

From the map, visit the flea market on Saturday and scroll to the extreme left to see Tilde sitting on a chair, reading a book. Click on Tilde to get a list of three items for sale:
